Adoption Focus has recently been awarded £5,000 of funding from Star Trust towards providing social events for adopted children and their parents. We are very grateful to the Trust for their generous contribution to our charity and plan to utilise the funding to organise a large-scale summer party for families, along with smaller ‘Reach’ family days in our East Midlands region.
Adoption Focus CEO Anna Sharkey said, “We are delighted to have received this funding and extremely grateful to Star Trust for their generous donation. We know the importance of peer support within our adoptive community and social events are a great way of establishing these connections. These will be the first Adoption Focus events as an expanded agency covering the whole of the Midlands following our merger with Faith in Families in January.”
Star Trust is an East Midlands-based charity co-founded by Steve Hampson of Hampson Group and Tim Maxted of Berkeley Insurance. It is run by local business owners and entrepreneurs and raises many thousands of pounds each year to support multiple good causes across the region.
