Next month, we have three inspirational athletes taking on running challenges and raising funds for Adoption Focus.
On 6th April, Adoption Focus social worker Jane will join with 20,000 other runners for the London Landmarks Half Marathon, on a route taking in Big Ben, the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and Nelson’s Column.
On 13th April, Seb will be running his first marathon in Paris, an event which will follow the same route as last year’s Olympic marathon. Seb’s family adopted his sister in 2007, and he has very kindly chosen to run in support of Adoption Focus because of that connection.
Lianne will also be running her first marathon in Manchester on 27th April. Lianne elected to run for Adoption Focus because her brother Ryan and sister-in-law Leela adopted their beautiful daughters with us 18 months ago.
Huge thanks to Jane, Seb and Lianne for their amazing efforts. We wish you all the very best of luck with your events and hope you thoroughly enjoy the experience.
If you’d like to consider taking on a challenge event in support of Adoption Focus, please take a look at the Fundraising Challenges page of our website. There you’ll find events at a wide range of levels, across the UK and beyond, from 5ks and 10ks in Nottingham and at Alton Towers, obstacle races in Lincoln and Windsor, to a 100-mile bike ride in Pembrokeshire and the Amsterdam Marathon in October.
