Buddy Scheme
Our Buddy Scheme gives you valuable access to informal, peer-to-peer support from experienced adopters.
Our adoption support team can link prospective adopters and adopters with one of our Adoption Focus buddies at any stage of the process. They'll link you to a Buddy with the knowledge and background that matches your needs the best. Then, as an experienced adopter, they can offer you advice and strategies that have worked for them, or just provide a sympathetic ear for and concerns you may have.

Adopterverse
Adopterverse is our safe, online space for our adopters to connect, learn from and support each other. It’s accessed through the secure login area of our website. Support Networks & Social Events
Alongside the formal support you'll receive as an adopter with Adoption Focus, you'll also have the opportunity to take part in plenty of social events, activities and groups. They're fun for you and your children, and great for making connections and building your support network.

Advice for Adopted Teens and Young People
Adoption Focus is committed to supporting adopted children, teenagers and young people, whether adopted through our agency or not.
"Adoption support is having a positive impact for the families receiving the service. The agency is always looking at ways to develop. They use training and research to inform their practice and make changes accordingly, to ensure that children get the best care from well-informed, well-supported parents. A lifelong promise to families ensures that the agency is available for support and adopters repeatedly said support is in place until they are ready for it to end."
