Local Authorities & Regional Adoption Agencies

We work with Regional Adoption Agencies across the country to provide placements for children where the adoption plan has been confirmed though Adoption Focus and for children where the planning court process has not concluded via Triangle Project. We work particularly closely with local Regional Adoption Agencies to enable children to be placed in the region, supporting local adopter recruitment campaigns, and developing support for both adopters and kinship carers.

Our Approved Adopters

Adoption Focus specialises in finding new families for those children who wait the longest to be placed, usually because of their age or ethnicity, or because they have siblings or additional needs. Our adopters and dual-approved carers are extremely well prepared and benefit from our pledge of lifelong support for themselves and their children.

We attract potential adopters of all backgrounds from across Central England. Their unifying desire is to become parents to adopted children.

Our Linking and Matching Team

We have a dedicated Linking and Matching Team committed to working closely with Regional Adoption Agencies and Local Authorities. The team, led by our Linking & Matching Officer Alex, work with our adopters to understand their strengths, experience and skills and to find children who could be potential matches.

Alex says, “I am proud to be working for an organisation where prospective and current adopters are offered lifelong support. Working in partnership with families and ensuring they feel heard and supported is at the heart of what we do.”

Alex is always delighted to talk to our Local Authority and Regional Adoption Agency colleagues about our approved adopters. You can contact Alex here.

Our Early Permanence Carers

Through Triangle Project, we offer Early Permanence placements with our dual-approved carers. We are really keen to use these placements for a variety of children – particularly those who have been waiting longest for a new family, as well as sibling groups. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have children who could benefit from this flexibility.
